Following up from my last post, I have reached an agreement with the studio owner to get his studio into shape whilst retaining the booth he spent so much time and hard work erecting (grow up).
We came to decide that with the introduction of a few reflective panels to introduce some higher frequencies back into the space (and thus balancing out the bass heavy remains), the booth was entirely useable. And, with a little feng shui in the control room, along with the addition of some thoughtfully placed acoustic foam, things would be a little more…agreeable.

In closing, it’s safe to assume that almost any space can be made suitable for recording. And, before undertaking a monster DIY project, get a second opinion…or ten.
